Kuau Inn is the name of this classic plantation-style house built in 1928 on Maui's northshore in the beach neighborhood of Kuau.

The Kuau Inn sits at the foot of magnificent Haleakala Crater, and right off Hana Highway where this historic road begins it's way to the far east side of Maui.

This wonderful treasure of a house was recently refurbished.
It is a six bed room, two story house, large and roomy.
For guests there are two bedrooms upstairs with ocean and mountain views. They share a lovely bathroom with a bathtub. These rooms have cable T.V. and telephones.
Downstairs there are two bedrooms; one queen bed room and a 2 twin beds room.
All rooms have quality linens and towels.
There are two bathrooms downstairs, and the house is cleaned daily to keep it sparkling.
There is a beautiful, large living room and a pleasant day room, which together make the common area spacious and comfortable.

There is a broadband connection for guest's use and cable channels and a portfolio of DVD's and flatscreen T.V., and a sound system inside and out.

The kitchen is good size, fully equipped for cooking and entertaining, (see amenities, below)
The party patio is where the gang can hangout in the converted garage, local style, watching the sun go down around the barbeque with the music turned up.

The house is surrounded by tropical landscaping, a banana patch, fruit trees and a large back yard for sunbathing.

Breakfast is included - an assortment of fruit, breads and bagels, cereals, milk, juice, teas and coffee. Guests may help themselves to breakfast whenever they please.

Kuau Inn has an informal and pleasantly social atmosphere, owned and operated by locals who hope visitors will relax and enjoy the island lifestyle - perfect for family re-unions, or large families on vacation, or special groups such as yoga, wedding guests, etc....

The friendly, casual, sea-side community of Kuau is actually a residential extension on the east side of Paia, about 10 minutes from Kahului Airport.
The sea level climate is usually about 80 and sunny, kept cool by the trade winds. All of Maui's best variety of North Shore beaches are within walking distance or minutes drive. There are beaches for children, surfers, windsurfers, kite-surfers, snorkelers, shore-line fishermen and women, swimmers, or just plain lolly-gaggers.... and you are just outside the fun and interesting little town of Paia.
